You are loved!
Well, believe it.
Cherished….Adored….Treasured. Yes, you!
God knows what you have done—even your darkest moments you wish no one knew. He knows where you’ve been. Everything that has happened. The All Seeing, All Knowing One knows it all. And yet, He still, like a glorious broken record, sends you millions of “I love you”’s every day. All day long.
I was holding my baby girl the other night while she was fast asleep in my arms. I was admiring her beauty: long eyelashes…cute little nose…precious little hands…perfect little feet. Out of my heart, I started thanking God for entrusting me with such a precious gift.
“Thank you….thank you….,” I whispered, not wanting to wake her. Then, joyful tears of gratitude started to stream down my face.
I will never forget what happened next. It took my breath away. I heard God speak to me in a whisper—straight from heaven into my heart. Speaking with a hush—one I have only heard a handful of times in my life—oh, so suddenly and very unexpectedly.
He whispered, How you feel about Elianah is exactly how I feel about you.
The reality and the weight of that resounding truth made my heart skip a beat. I sat frozen in silence, sweet holy silence.
And this message isn’t just for me. God has the exact same message for you! Right now. Just as you are.
A message of overflowing, unconditional love. At this very moment, as you read this, He is whispering these truths directly to your heart:
You are my treasured possession. (Deuteronomy 7:6, NIV)
My thoughts toward you are countless as the sand on the seashore. (Psalm 139-18, NIV)
I know I have no idea what you’re facing right now. But I do know, with every cell of my being, based on the truth of the Holy Scriptures, that you are being held by your Creator. He to whom the spirits cry out, “Abba…Father…” (Romans 8:15). Plain and simple: He adores you. You are His child.
So be still.
Don’t miss His embrace.
Rest in His arms and He will indeed hold you through the darkness of night until the light of day.
The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17, NIV
